关于组织教师参加国际前沿教学法(BOPPPS)培训项目的通知

为配合学校“双一流”建设,全面提升教师的国际化视野、教学能力,以及在国际化学术环境下运用英文交流、研究、展示等方面的综合能力,2021年春季学期我校拟与加拿大约克大学合作开展“国际前沿教学法(BOPPPS)培训项目”。具体通知如下:

一、项目简介

国际前沿教学法(BOPPPS)培训项目与加拿大约克大学联合开展,旨在帮助教师了解并掌握BOPPPS教学模型,实现教学模式从“教师为中心”向“学生为中心”的转变,从而让学生主动参与课堂,大大提升教学效率。

BOPPPS模型由ISW(加拿大教师技能培训工作坊)创建,其后迅速在加拿大和美国进行推广,受到广大师生的欢迎。截止目前,BOPPPS已经被全世界超过33个国家引进采用,被全球众多大学推崇。BOPPPS是一个强调学生参与和反馈的闭环教学过程模型,能够帮助教师分解并分析教学过程、找出教学盲点、改善并提升教学成效。培训项目将围绕BOPPPS教学模型原理引入、各环节要点分解、北美高校BOPPPS使用案例、BOPPPS能力认证等模块展开,全面提升教师的国际化视野和职业胜任力。

本次教师培训项目由约克大学著名教授、行业专家亲授,万维锐鑫资深导师全程辅导。开课前进行摸底测试,对教师的英文沟通能力进行综合评估,结合英文测试结果,针对性地制定课程方案,以确保达到课程难度与受训教师能力的最佳匹配。

附:加拿大约克大学简介

• Designing assessment tasks and learning activities with the BOPPPS learning structure based on previous participant lesson plans- steps for assessment design, types of assessment and learning tools and methods applicable and effective in higher education

• Developing marking schemes- examination of exemplars and examples

• Creation of valuable assessment tools and methods according to the BOPPPS active learning approach- participants will work in their teams to create learning outcomes and assessment tools and methods either to in preparation for creating a BOPPPS inspired lesson

• They will receive feedback on their tools, methods and strategies from the instructor and will present these in the next session to their peers for further discussion, growth, and develop to solidify their understanding of the BOPPPS learning approach

 

Part 3 Topic: Lesson Planning Using the BOPPPS Structure

● Participants will present to their small group, the different ideas they had transitioning their current lessons using the BOPPPS approach into Active Learning lessons- participants will give feedback to their colleagues which will help them prepare for this lesson planning sections to follow

• Examination of the BOPPPS lesson planning template in relation to the BOPPPS model

• Participants will be guided and scaffolded through every element of the BOPPPS lesson plan where they are to use an existing lesson plan and merge it into the BOPPPS framework with a focus on student involvement, student engagement, and assessment informing instruction- now that the participants have had the opportunity to take a pre-existing lesson and translate this using BOPPPS modeling and frameworks, the participants will now plan one from scratch using content that they will be teaching in upcoming lessons

• In whatever capacity and structure, the groups have decided to present their learnings and reflections, they will have 20-minutes to do so.

• The instructor will offer feedback to the participants according to the pre-developed and discussed criteria

• The instructor will assess the groups and also record their feedback in written form

• Conclusion of learning

• Closing ceremonies- final thoughts and certificate distribution

2、BOPPPS评估标准

 

3、课程证书

完成课程后,受训教师将获约克大学颁发的培训结业证书

4、项目费用

人民币11600元/人,费用包含:培训费、在线教务管理平台、项目管理及服务费、专家导师指导及答疑。

项目时长:总计60小时,共计6周,包含:学术课程30小时、英文演讲训练12小时、资料研读6小时、小组研讨12小时。

课程人数:25人/班。

二、项目申请

1.报名要求:专任教师,且参加该项目英语测试,考试成绩合格者(一般应具有大学英语级以上)。

2.请各学院推荐优秀骨干教师报名参与项目,具体名额见附表。学校将全额资助培训合格的教师参加培训,本年度未参加过学校组织的国际培训项目的教师优先一年内学校资助参加过国际培训项目的教师本次培训不再资助。

3. 教师培训合格后,须面向本学院教师和学生分别做一次不少于2学时的全英文学术报告,且在讲授课程中融入BOPPPS教学模式。
